Forest nymph

she danced with a grace that had never been seen.
gliding, swirling, leaping in euphoria.
the trees watched in endless silence,
the wind ceased blowing so as not to disturb.
not a sound was made as the forest gazed at her strange beauty.
she was welcoming the coming winter.
introducing herself with care,
encouraging the season to come and stay for a while.
and it would come.
it could not refuse her.
